Some Paper and Packaging is not designated by the Programs because it is never supplied to a residential consumer or is not considered to be disposable packaging. These are known as exclusions. Stewards do not need to include material which is “excluded” (i.e. not designated) in their Annual Reports
“Exclusions” are different from “Deductions”. In limited circumstances, stewards that complete and submit a Deduction Declaration Form may deduct some packaging which is supplied to residential consumers. Deductions are discussed in section 2.3.2
The following subsections discuss the types of excluded packaging which do not need to be included in the stewards’ Annual Reports.
